book recommendations for each zodiac sign pt.1
Aries
Everyone in This Room Will Someday be Dead by Emily Austin
This powerhouse of a novel will keep even the most dynamic Aries on their feet. We follow Gilda as she navigates a hilariously ironic situation that she finds herself in, while also tackling the mortifying reality of existing in the world at all. Packed with intensely sharp wit and dizzying introspection, my eager Aries babes will fall in love with this book (and Gilda) just as I did.
Taurus
A Dowry of Blood by S.T. Gibson
I’m a Taurus so you’re just going to have to trust that this deliciously gothic book is perfect for my fellow Tauruses. Gibson’s writing is extremely sensual and evocative, drawing on themes of intense love and blind loyalty from the perspective of one of Dracula’s brides. Prepare to be utterly swept away into this dark, mysterious world and empowered by the headstrong protagonist.
Gemini
One Last Stop by Casey McQuiston
For my loveliest Geminis I’m recommending one of my favourite sapphic romances. I think Geminis will relate to the unfailingly kind protagonist August as she navigates a new chapter in her life, meeting the most vibrant people along the way. This is a wholesome, clever romance with just the right amount mystery and *spice* and I know you’ll have the best time reading it.
Cancer
Afterlove by Tanya Byrne
Cancers be warned, I definitely think this book will destroy you like it did me but trust me when I say that the *feels* are worth it. I know Cancers are typically more sentimental than other signs so this may feel a bit like playing with fire, but trust me, this sapphic love story with a speculative twist is so perfectly executed that it’ll leave your jaw permanently dropped. Just don’t forget your tissues.
Leo
The Witch’s Heart by Genevieve Gornichec
I know my fiery Leos will absolutely love this Norse-inspired fantasy novel. We follow the legendary witch Angrboda rediscovering her tremendous power and learning to exist unapologetically as a formidable woman and mother. Featuring a tricksy-as-ever Loki as a love interest, this intense retelling will leave you totally empowered if slightly breathless.
Virgo
Where We Go From Here by Lucas Rocha
For my gentle Virgos I recommend this captivating debut following three young men and their experiences with HIV in Rio de Janeiro. This book is so gut-wrenchingly sincere and moving it’ll change your life, and I think my loyal and discerning Virgos will appreciate it the very most.
